Golf Coaching

At Broadwater Park we provide coaching for all abilities. Being a public facility many people feel that they can start their golfing life here in a relaxed and non intimidating environment. The covered driving range and par 3 course offer the opportunity for new golfers to learn and home their skills before the challenge of the larger course. For those experienced players it allows a brush up on technique.

Our coaches are PGA qualified. The Professional Golfers Association is the most recognized and respected body for golf with golf clubs throughout the world.

Darren Brewer - PGA Qualified

Darren has been a well known character within the area for nearly 20 years, he has been employed at Miford/Pyrford/Traditions/merristwood and more recently at Hoebridge Golf centre as Head Professional/ Retail manager.

Darren has a wealth of experience in Golf Management but his true passion lies in Golf Coaching. He has travelled extensively to learn and study different teaching philosophies and techniques.

Some of the coaches he has met are Wally Armstrong, AJ Boner and David Blair. He has spent a year working on his own game with Denis Pugh. Recently Darren attended a seminar on 1 and 2 plane swings with Chris O’Connell Jim Hardys number 1 coach, and coach to Matt Kucher.

Darren’s style of coaching focuses on the individual person and their specific needs.He advocates sound basic as a foundation, and explains very clearly what needs to happen during impact with the ball to achieve consistent flight and distance

 

 

 

Kevin Milton - PGA Qualified

Kevin turned professional in 1975. After working at West Surrey, Liphook and Hartley Wintney Golf Clubs as Assistant Professional he started Broadwater in 1989. Kevin has taught many thousands of players of all ages and has been fortunate to teach several juniors who have gone on to win large events, represent the country and even turn professional themselves.
